Volunteering
We rely on the generosity of you, our amazing supporters to provide invaluable funds and assistance that keep us going. There are may ways you can help as a Rottweiler Welfare Volunteer:
Help us at one of our events, become a home checker or vet a dog for suitability for rehoming (must be experienced with the breed and a member of Welfare).
Offer to transport a dog for us.
Organise a car boot or table top sale, a coffee morning, a companion dog show or a sponsored slim,
Run a marathon in aid of Rottweiler Welfare Association, a long distance walk, sponsored dog walk, parachute jump, bungee jump or anything you can think of.
Do a collection at your local Pets at Home store. If you have a PAT dog you could organise an event whereby people can stroke your dog for a voluntary donation – a great way to promote the breed, especially if your Rott is the PAT dog.
How about having a ‘Rottweilers in need day’, like Children In Need – it could be done in the summer or it could be held on a Bank Holiday.
Again you can organise the event yourself – it doesn’t need to be a huge affair, when run the first time we had a few people who collected pennies in a jar throughout the year and they simply handed it over on the day.
How about a fashion show, a stall at the country fayre. To discuss your ideas or for advice call Jen Darboe, Fundraising Manager on 07368 336092 or email us jenni@rottweilerwelfare.co.uk
