This is a photo of my Molly Dolly. I used to suffer from panic attacks due to stress (I get very easily worried about stupid things!). I was at counselling which did help a little, but I was still getting easily stressed, when I turned 18 my parents bought me Molly, she was just a six week old ball of fluff, but the second I saw her I loved her. She is 1 and a half now but she has become my rock and whenever I need kisses and cuddles to cheer me up she is first in line to take up the task and my panic attacks have stopped. I didn't rescue her.  She rescued me!!! Jemma

This is Dasha, we rescued her from being put to sleep as no-one wanted her! - Jon Turtle

This is Roxy, our Rottie Mix, rescued from the RSPCA after no-one wanted her. - Jon Turtle

This is our Rottie Nemesis (Greek meaning is "to give what is due") a 2 year old male rottie. He has singlehandedly changed many peoples outlook on Rotties with his soft dopey loveable nature. He loves children and loves nothing more than meeting my kids at the school gate where he receives a fussing from so many eager children! - Lee Dawes

This is Rottie Zeus who was born in Rescue.  We have owned him since 8 weeks old.  He has an undershot jaw and both hips not so good at moment but jaw has grown.  He is 9 months old, just over 8st and has costs us loads of money at vets, but we love him with all our hearts and would not change him. - Des Emmett

This is Jenna who is a rescue dog and lives in Bangor, County Down.  She was rescued from a puppy farm with other dogs, but now has a lovely life.

This is Missy who has now turned 13 in August 2009 and although deaf and had to have  both cruciate ligaments repaired over the last 4 years still seems to be enjoying her life and I hope she continues for a long time yet.  Carol Hickman

Ronnie & Roxy - Ronnie (right in photo) is 4 yrs old, he came to stay temporarily, but his owners divorced an so he stayed, Roxy (left in photo) is 2 yrs old and was rescued by myself with the help of our dog warden at the age of 14 weeks from a very bad home.  They live with our lovely 2 spaniels, 2 cats, 4 rabbits, 8 fish, Riley the rat and Stamford the hamster! Teresa & Bob Brown

Kia -I have just been looking at your site and I think you are doing a marvellous job for these young (and not so young!) lads and lasses.  We have rottie of our own, Kai, who is the most gentle man you could wish to meet and at almost 2, is absolutely full of bounce and energy. We would love to rescue, but we live in Tbilisi, Georgia at the moment and so it isn’t practical. However, I shall send a form off to you (it will take a little while to get to you) as I would like to join the Share and Care scheme.  I know how much ours eats !Anyway, best wishes for the future. Karen, Stephen and Kai

Zeus was found walking the streets in Bradford, West Yorkshire and was taken to Marinea Kennels in Huddersfield in March 2008. In July 2008 is was rehomed with us, but when we were ready to take him home we found out that he was mirco-chipped and the kennels had phoned the number and got this reply "I don't own a dog". Later we found out that he had been beaten, his leg had been broken when or how we do not know.  But he is doing well in his new home after we got him to his ideal weight and happily plays with our other dog Sheba and our five cats ( but the cats some time scare him and he has to hide behind my legs). He is now in a home he deserves we are thankful to have him and love him lots. He is are big baby boy.  Laura

Sadie
This is Sadie. She was a rescue dog aged 5 months now aged 5 years.  Just dissecting one of her many toys.  Keep up the good work. Teresa

Shannon
Shannon is from Babbington Rescue and me and my husband rehomed her 2 years ago. We had a lot of training to do as she was very wary with people as she'd been abused, but it all worked out.  We couldn't ask for a better dog, she's so lovely and so settled as you can see in the picture. I came down one morning and found her lying like that bless her. Melanie

Rocky
This is our Rocky Marciano, cos he's as tough as his namesake opening doors with his head!!!  We got him at 12 weeks and he is now 16 weeks and growing all the time, he's our wee baby already and we all love him. James

Jess
I went to look around the pound,
My wish to find a GSD hound.
Instead I saw your sad looking eyes
You looked out of the kennel I heard your sighs
With your pitiful looks and being underweight
Who could do this to you, now I know how to hate
The person who could let you end up here
Your body language showing distrust and fear
Your front legs crooked, your rear legs no better
It was clear that you were no longer a go getter
But one look from those eyes, and I was smitten
I hoped you'd get on with my overgrown kittens

You came home with me to meet my gang
It was trial and error a lot of the way,
I felt joy on the day you first attempted to play
You loved to stay close, maybe worried I'd go
Your progress was steady but maybe a bit slow
House training was not mastered in all of your stay
But no way would I have ever sent you away
The vet said it likely I would have you but a month

Instead you stayed with me for a year and a month
In your time with me I saw you come out of your shell
To see you out meeting new friends made me feel swell

T
oo soon the time came for me to say goodbye
I held you in my arms and said farewell as I cried
Your space in my heart will always be there
I am so glad I saw you that day and could show you I care
Fay
