Welcome to our Rehoming page
Buster
is a 12 month old, neutered and docked male. He is a big dog and was
brought to us by his previous because owners they were not experienced with
large breeds and felt that they could not cope with him. He is extremely
boisterous and has not been trained. He does pull on the lead and jump up.
He would obviously not be suitable for a home where there young children.
He needs an experienced Rottie home where he could be taught how to behave.
He is a loving dog but at the moment is very confused and cannot understand
why he has ended up in kennels. In the right home and after some time
spent training him, he will make a super, loyal boy. It would be better if
Buster was the only pet in the household since he has not been well
socialised.
Sylvia
was found wandering in central London with a collar and lead attached, taken
to the local pound but never claimed. She is docked. She is an absolutely
gorgeous girl. She is extremely loving and gets on with almost all the dogs
she meets. At present she lives with a 5 year old male and they get on
famously. Unfortunately, she does have some mobility problems and anyone
who considers her will have to be aware that she cannot walk a very long
way. She is quite happy to potter around our field at the kennels. She
adores cuddles and fuss and would make someone a wonderful loving and loyal
companion.
R
udi
(Rudolph) came to us at Christmas, hence the name. He was taken in by
another kennels as a stray but they felt he was such a lovely boy they would
try and find someone to take him rather than have to put him to sleep. As
you can see he is a very handsome boy. We think he is between 3-4 years old
and is docked. He is very friendly and loves his walks. Because we have no
history we could not let him be rehomed to home where there are small
children but a home with older teenage children would be fine. He is an
active, happy boy who does suffer from "rottie deafness" when he finds
something interesting. He could share a home with a bitch. He would make a
loyal and loving addition to the right family.
Marley
is approximately 15 months old and has not had a very good life. His
previous owner was unable to care for him properly and he was rescued by a
kind neighbour. Nevertheless, he is a happy, active boy who would love a
home where he could continue with his training. Due to the fact that he was
not treated very well in his previous life Marley, needs to be an only dog
and also, a home where there are no young children. An experienced home is
essential. Marley, needs a home where there is routine and where he will be
able to be feel secure and loved.
Blondie and Ruby
Inseparable
sisters who came to us with another sister and a brother who have since been
rehomed. They were originally two of ten rotties that all lived together.
Unfortunately, the owner of the land where they lived decided that the dogs
and their owner should move and, unfortunately, they had to be split. The
two that we have already rehomed have now settled after taking sometime to
adapt to being only children but we feel that it would not be fair to
separate these two girls since Blondie is very shy and depends so much on
Ruby. Anyone considering these two would have to have lots of patience and
a quiet household would be essential.
They
are both quite nervous on first meeting, especially Blondie, and it will
take sometime for them to get used to living in a home. They are both
spayed and would, for someone who had lots of time, patience and love, make
two devoted girls. They are two years old and have not lived in a home but
if the other two are anything to go by would enjoy being part of a loving
family.
Astra
is a very energetic 6 year old Rottie
girl who was brought to us by a Vet from Pembrokeshire who could not bear to
put her to sleep. Her previous owners had had a baby and decided that
they did not want Astra any longer. She is very very energetic and
needs a lot of attention, I think probably that she had been ignored a lot
in her previous home. She would suit a family who love the outdoors
and lots of walks and who have plenty of time to spend with her. She
is very sweet and loves lots of attention and cuddles. She will be
fine with older children but I think she would need to be an only dog.
Wallis
is a castrated male of approximately 4 years
old. He is a lovely boy who shows no aggression whatsoever and is
clean, obedient and tolerates other dogs. He is a very friendly boy
who enjoys his fusses. He has been fostered for a while, but now would
really love to have a home of his own. You can contact Sheila on 01782
751105 for more details about him.
Stella
is a big, strong girl 2/3 years old. Very loving and happy. Very
choosey with her doggie friends. A lovely girl, who has been spayed.
She came from a loving home where it was felt that she was not getting
enough time and attention. She loves her walks in the field but
probably would be best walked on a Dogmatic head collar since she is such a
strong girl. She is no problem in the kennels and loves everyone.
She also adores her food, particularly custard creams and carrots. She
would make a lovely bitch for a family where there were older children and
where she could be the only pet.
Horatio
is a 2½
year old castrated male who is looking for a new home. He is
friendly with people, gets on well with bitches and currently lives with 2
cats who he likes to keep clean even when they tell him off he is not
deterred. He likes his walks and could live with older teenager
children, but not young ones. He travel well in the car, is good at
the vet and is reasonable trained with good manners although he can be a bit
possessive over bones if he is given them. Ideally an experienced home
would be required who can give him the time and patience to settle into his
new home.

Chico
is a most handsome, biddable boy of approximately 4/5 years
old. Before being rescued he had spent most his life tied to a post.
Despite this he is the most loving, gentle and well behaved boy. At present
he lives with two bitches (Blondie and Ruby) and they get on very well. He
has obviously not been out and about very much and is quite frightened of
normal every day traffic. He loves a fuss and his walks round the field
with his ladies. He is one of easiest dogs in our kennels and deserves a
home where he will be loved and cared for. He will easily live with a
couple of girls but because we have no history we would not recommend a home
where there are small children. Older teenage children would not pose a
problem although I do not think he would enjoy a very rowdy household. I
think that he would easily adapt to indoor living although, a cosy kennel
would also be acceptable.
Della
is quite a big girl. Approximately 2 years old and very affectionate.
We have no history of Della since she came to us as a stray. She has no
issues other than she does not like other dog, but this maybe overcome with
training and socialisation. She loves to be out and about and would
love to be part of a family. Della would make a lovely, affectionate
member of a family with older children. She learns very quickly and we
are sure that with a little training and lots of love and affection Della
would be an asset to any family.
Max
is approximately 19 months of age. He is a lively and affectionate lad who
has been castrated. He enjoys being out and about and is full of fun and
energy. He will need ongoing training and socialisation since he is not too
keen on other dogs. He will make an excellent dog for an experienced rottie
home where there at teenage children. He would enjoy being part of a lively
and energetic household.
Ella
is 3 year old entire bitch, although will be spayed before being rehomed.
She is a solid chunky girl who is a petite rottie.
She loves people and loves getting a fuss. She can be a typical bossy Rottie bitch
who needs an
experienced owner and would benefit from further training. She can get a bit excitable
but this needs channelling into some form of training. She is though not
to keen on other dogs – but we feel she may well be fine paired with a calm male Rottie.
Sid
is only two years old and came from a home
where he was well loved and looked after for the eight months after he was
rescued from a pound. He is neutered. Sid is a bit of a fool, he is very
funny and gets very excited when he thinks its time to go for a walk or
when his food is coming. He is a very loving dog and his previous owner
assured us that he never gave them one day where they regretted adopting
him. He seems to get on with almost anything. There was a young child,
approximately 5 years old, in his home and he was totally trustworthy. The
only reason he came to us was because his owner developed serious asthma and
the dander and dog hairs were contributing to the problem. He was given up
very reluctantly. He would suit a home where there was plenty going,
possibly with children from 11 upwards. An experienced owner, because of
his size and boisterousness.
Tasha
is a strong girl who needs an experienced home. She hates being in kennels
and would need to have someone with her quite a lot of the time since she
does suffer from separation anxiety. Tasha would benefit very much from a
home where she was the "only child". She is extremely fit and will walk
miles. She is a lovely girl but not a "sit on your knee" rottie, but she
would no doubt, in the right home, be a wonderful addition. She is spayed
and we recommend an adult home. Tasha has been with us for quite a while
now and we would be delighted if we could find her forever home.
Diesel is
a two year old male and is a very reserved boy who likes his own
company. Unfortunately he has not been socialised with other
dogs and really would
have be the only one in a home. He would possibly suit someone who would like a
dog that likes his walks and some interaction, but he is not a "cuddly" boy.
He could live outside, but it must be "Gold Star".
Obviously, a home with no other pets and no children would be best for this
serious boy.
Jake
is a 1 year old neutered male
and there is nothing wrong with his eyes, it is just the light from the
camera. He is still very much a teenager and like any young dog
he needs further
training and socialisation. He is friendly with
people and dogs. He loves his treats, enjoys playing with his toys and
likes being groomed. He has no obvious problems apart from being young
and needing further training. He could live with another dog and
possible with teenage children where he will be part of a family.
Bear
is a 3 year old castrated male.
He has a friendly temperament, loves people and other dogs. He is good
on a lead, likes his treats, enjoys playing with his toys and is good with grooming. He
also knows some basic commands. He would probably be best in a urban
environment and not near livestock, but could easily live with another dog
in an adult environment.
Alfie
has been with us a long time now and it really is a puzzle because he is a
lovely "teddy" type rottie. He is approximately 4 years old, neutered with
a tail. He does not really like other dogs but will walk with a female and
could possibly live with a quiet girl. He does not have obvious problems
and enjoys sitting out in the run watching the world go by. He also likes
going out round the lanes where he can investigate all the new smells that
have appeared and to finish off, a big cuddle on the dog bench. He is a
strong boy and is walked on a dogmatic and this makes walking him a
pleasure.
Alfie really does need his forever home now. He could possibly live with
older teenage children and as stated before he may get on with a quiet bitch
but there could be no other pets in the household.
Keira
is a lovely 4 year spayed bitch. Her world was turned upside down
when first she had a road accident and unfortunately lost the
sight of one eye and then her owner decided to take a job abroad and could
not take her with him. She has been loved and cared for and is excellent
on the lead, but now because of her restricted sight any new owner would
need to be aware that when
approached by other dogs on her blindside she can be startled and will sometimes "shout"
at them. Keira would have to live in a quiet
home where she could regain her confidence. She would love to have a
forever home where she could be secure and know that she was loved and once
again be an important member of a loving family. It is recommended that she is
homed in a quiet household where there are no children or other pets.
Molly
is
2 year old currently unspayed bitch, but would be spayed before rehoming.
She came to RWA due to a marriage breakup - and the family were very sad
to have to give her up for rehoming. Molly is a typical Rottie bitch - so
can be a tad stubborn - but is easily bought with a biscuit. She loves
fusses and sitting nice and close. She has lived with kids 7 years and
above. She is not keen on other dogs or cats, so it would be better if Molly
was the "only one". Since she came Molly has become somewhat of a favourite
since she is always happy to see anyone who is prepared to take her for
walk. She is good on the lead and would make a lovely member of a family.
Indy
is a 1 year old bitch who would be spayed before being rehomed. She
is very friendly with people and is fine with other dogs. She
obviously needs further training and socialisation but does know a few basic
commands. She is an all round nice girl who would love an active
family home. She could live with teenage children or children of 9+
provided they have experience of living with a large young dog.
Digger
came to us from an
older owner who because of ill health felt that she could no longer give him
the attention and exercise he deserves. He is a very friendly people dog
and quite a nice looking boy. He is about 2½ years old, very fit and he is
entire at the moment, but may be castrated before being rehomed. depending
on the home. He
walks well on the lead and enjoys his food. He is very happy and does not
appear to have any issues other than that he has not been socialised with
other dogs. Consequently, it would be better for him to go an experienced
home with older children where he would an "only dog".
Taz
is a 2 year old entire male. He is our Mr Scruffy as he always seems
to get messed up just after he has been groomed or washed. He is a young dog who
still thinks he is a puppy. He has a lovely nice friendly nature and
he just loves everyone. He is good with dogs, loves his food, treats
and toys. He knows some basic commands but being young still needs
training and socialisation. He could easily live with another dog and
possibly teenager children.
Rosie
is a 3.5 year old spayed bitch.
She has a friendly temperament and his good with people and other dogs.
She loves her toys and his good with her food and likes to be groomed.
She understands basic commands, does not jump up and is good on the lead.
She will require an experienced home with no children.
Vinnie
is a 3 year old male who come into our care because his owner died. He
can be a typical male rottie who at first can be wary of strangers until he
gets to know them and then he is absolutely lovely and wants his fusses.
He is good on the lead, loves his treats and is ok with most dogs if they
leave him alone. He does do most basic commands. We feel that
he would be better in an adult only home and probably best as an only dog.
Kofi
is a 3 year old female who is a good
girl, who gets on well with people and other dogs, although she can get a
bit bossy with dogs so any new owner needs to be aware of this. She
has a nice temperament, walks well on the lead, loves her food and treats
and loves her toys. She knows some basic commands but probably would
easily learn others. She could live in an adult home with another
dogs.
